Scented Candles to Boost Your Mind, Body and Spirit
Natural aromatherapy candles are great for helping you with meditation, yoga, relaxation or just to chill out at the end of a hard day at the workplace. Follow this simple guide for creating highly scented candles using an individual essential oil or a multiple blend of oils for some arresting aromas.
Numerous aromatherapy candles are fragranced with synthetic aromas comprising of fragrance oils and often do not give the needed quality of aroma. However, a lot of scented candles containing real pure essential oils are very expensive and cost a lot. Here is an simple alternative to making your own highly relaxing scented candles using a simple unscented candle.
Sandalwood is the perfect essential oil for making a quality scented candle .As well as having a long-lasting scent , aromatherapists have found it helpful for mild forms of depression which can accompany sleeplessness, restlessness and many irritable conditions. However, where there is lethargy and over-sleeping (perhaps more than ten or eleven hours a night), then a less powerful mood elevating oil such as rose neroli, lavender or bergamot might be more effective. More than anything else, the most important view is to select what smells good and finally feels right to you when choosing essential oils.
It is a great idea to select the fattest, widest candle your finances will allow. Using a really chunky candle will enable you to apply more essential oil when making your aromatherapy blend.
First of all light the candle, wait just a few minutes for the wax to melt, then blow it out staight away . Always extinguish all candles before adding essential oils as they are highly flammable. Next, you should add a few drops of pure essential oil to the melted wax in the middle (the fatter the candle, the larger the pool of wax ) before re-lighting. It is important for best results to keep the candle wick short so as the flame will burn too large and the fragranced vapour vanish fast.
Mood Enhancing Scented Candles
Make sure you use pure essential oil to create your scented candle, not diluted at all, or the fragrance will hardly be distinguishable .

Why not experiment and really enjoy yourself trying out with different combinations of oils. There are hundreds of aromas you can select from to boost your spirits and create some beautiful aromas.
